With the ship complete, Kingdom of Dust is now evolving into one of the most ambitious Cinematic Narrative Installations in the Art Encompassed collection.
The finished work will depict an ornate pirate vessel sailing from the darkness of a vast sea cave toward the light, leaving behind mountains of treasure that spill beyond an antique gilded frame and onto the gallery floor. Illuminated waterfalls, shimmering fiber-optic treasure, and a larger-than-life skeleton emerging through forced perspective will blur the boundary between artwork and reality.
More than a pirate story, Kingdom of Dust is a meditation on legacy. As the ship sails away from unimaginable wealth, it reminds us that gold and possessions eventually become dust, while the stories we create and the lives we shape have the power to endure.
